Bottom line: In my opinion, it is an unethical exploitation to deliberately limit game-play in this manner simply to make extra profits. The fee is largely a mechanism for making extra profit by forcing you to get nothing more than a permission slip from MS to play a multi-player game using your system, your game, and your bandwidth which you have already paid for. Call me crazy, but I am not interested in purchasing "permission" from MS. Unfortunately, there is almost no alternative. If you want to do internet multi-player on the 360, you pretty much have to purchase their permission.
If MS must maintain dedicated servers for a particular game that I am paying, then I can understand such a fee. Fortunately for us, even though we are being exploited, at least we are being exploited for a relatively small amount. However, just because it is a "small amount" doesn't make it okay.
Agreed 100%
What else is not okay? advertising to me on
MY console wiothout my consent and no way to disable, that's BS.

Sorry, didn't want to go off topic, but its crap that they are selling space on
MY games blade to advertisers. On the live blade, fine thats a service, I don't have to go there if I don't want, but not on my games blade, that should be mine.
