Live’s best asset is that it allows even small developers to support online play - the value of which can’t possibly be denied. Without it, we’d never see online play in small-budget XBLA titles or even marginalised full-price games.
I was disappointed to have NO online multiplayer options for both the Bourne Conspiracy and Ninja Gaiden II. While this subscription fee may help a dev decision whether or not to include a multiplayer mode, it certainly didn't work for those games, among others.

i am so tired of people that know know nothing about entrepreneurship bitching about fees and why they should get shit for free. open your own business for one month. see how many "thank you gifts" and free things you give out. its a luxury you morons. if pc and wii are free, pack your bags and ditch the xbox ship... it's not like they are charging you double for health insurance or taxing the food your eat. f*ing grow up.

you can get live on amazon for 35$ for 12 months. that's 2.90 a month. wow... they are really ripping people off. bunch of children and irresponsible adults i swear to god...
You really have no clue what we've been bitching about. It's not about breaking the bank; it's that they don't have a legitimate reason to charge us.
- Still have advertising shoved in your face
- NO dedicated servers, while free PSN has many (as well as P2P, but it's still free)
Do you give bums money (I do sometimes)? If you said 'no', what if the bum told you "You can afford some change" followed by "bunch of children and irresponsible adults i swear to god..."

If you have ever played on PS3 PSN network you wont mind paying for XBOX live.
Although PSN is free, most games dont work properly on launch online. Just look at GTA4 and COD4. Also no ingame dash, no in game messaging, no voice, a no proper integrated store.
With Xbox live you know it will just work

You must be grossly misinformed. If you've ever played GTA4 (on either system), you'd notice your friends list is already integrated into your phone. The 'HUD' interface (or whatever you prefer to call it) is a bit superferlous in a game like that. COD4 also has the friends list integrated. I love the party mode & clan support.
As for the PS store, it's much easier for me to find what I'm looking for there than it is in XBL Marketplace.

C'mon, BoNg.... you know that plenty of us who feel this way are gainfully employed. I've seen a few of your fellow moderators (who I know to be working, productive members of their respective societies) even mention the points I have... That's simply uncalled for.
