It's also amazing that you could just hit the power switch on a system and it turns off (right before the parent enters the room). Kids are very smart these days. Some parents don't even know how to operate a computer (let alone a console). Yet they buy these kids games that are designed for adults.
Yes in this day and age, Parents are not as responsible as they used to be. You have parents that are afraid of their own children. They don't participated in school functions,...Etc.. The list goes on. Back in the day you'll never hear of such things. Parents had more control over their kids. Now the government stepped in and are telling parents how to raise their own children. Now that's a bunch of bull. I'm a parent also (Oh I guess you forgot to notice that in my last post). My kids are on lock down. I screen them on everything. They play online, but I'm always there with them.
Question HotKnife420. Are you a parent? If no then, you have no idea of what it takes to raise a child. If you're a child then you have some type of Idea of how your parents raise you. My point in all of this is that In this country, We will sue over anything. That's a fact. Now if Sony's home project does let you upload any type of videos & pics, then my concern is valid.
I'm surprised if you think that everyone in this world are all nice and good. This is the real world where very bad things can & do happen on a daily basis. We as a parent can only do our BEST to guide, teach, & watch over our children as best we can. I'm sorry if I sound too negative, but as I stated before I'm playing devil's advocate (figure of speech). Meaning I'm stating the worst possible scenario of what can happen. We all should consider that.
Geeze, when I was living in my parents' house (or now, for that matter) I'd never just 'Hit the power' on the computer unless it was frozen. Not the best way to shutdown...
Anyway, yes, I'm a parent of a 3.5 year old boy. Every day he learns (and destroys

) something new. I'm sorry I overlooked your parental status in your previous post (where is it?), however I maintain my arguements. I totally with you on calling the government's parental ideals bull, but you seemed bent on the idea that 'Home' is going to be a 'Perverted Predator's Paradise'. Yes, 'Home' will allow users to share their own pics & videos. Do you think that a company as large as Sony would overlook 'hey, what if kids are around'? Companies such as ImageShack and Youtube have allowed users to upload their own content for years. I haven't seen porn 1 on either (of course, youtube *may* own pornotube, which *does* have porn vids. If they are indeed related, then perhaps Sony will release 'Home', and shortly thereafter 'Home Alone').
I don't believe "everyone in this world are all nice and good", but I do believe that the majority of people are good at heart. The things that will make the average person "bad" in someone else's eyes is a simple disagreement, and a lack of understanding of the disagreer's idea. Of course, I also realise that there are people who really are "bad", and look to gain fortune by exploiting "good" people. In their own right, they simply don't understand how "bad" they're being a lot of the time (kinda like "if you were raised a thief all your life, could you suddenly be against it" type of thing).
All in all, almost every day I run across someone who believes "we're in our last days" (end is neigh, whatever you wanna call it), and everytime I hear it, I know they're thinking of the rate of "bad" that seems to happen in the world today. What's never accounted for, is the fact that our quality of life is vastly improved than the past, and the only reason we have more crime and violence than "back then" is because we have significantly more people.
