I have no intentions of complaining to MS in the "appropiate channels" as you put it. And If I were to, it would only be because I thought it MIGHT make some sort of difference. Which, in this case it won't.

You can dance around that all you want, but I think we both no it would get me know where in doing so.

Furthermore, I use these forums to voice an opinion. I enjoy reading others opinions. Regardless of if they are my own or not.

Maybe some ppl on here are using these forums as a place to vent. Maybe because this is one of the few corners of the earth that you can get your voice heard (so to speak) in relation to others like yourself. (gamers)

Basically, its just that. A PUBLIC forum. People will say whats on their minds. Not all of us will agree with one another, but respect the fact that it is what it is - a persoal opinion which can not affect you in any way.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Edit: sheesh, thats was way off topic. Sorry fella's.

Recently, Xbox.com posted a letter from Marc Whitten, General Manager of Xbox LIVE, thanking subscribers for their patience with the service. We've implemented several improvements to the service, to help ensure ongoing reliability and performance. As the popularity of Xbox LIVE expands, we'll continue to closely monitor the service and make adjustments. As always, if you are having any problems, please contact your local support (1-800-4-MYXBOX in North America) so that we can assist you.

Marc announced that all Xbox LIVE members (Gold and Silver) around the world would have access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game to download free of charge. We're pleased to announce that beginning next Wednesday, 2:00 a.m. PST through Sunday, 11:59 p.m. PST, Xbox LIVE members worldwide can download the full version of the recent award-winning Xbox LIVE Arcade game, Undertow.

Developed by Chair Entertainment Group, Undertow is one of the highest-rated and best looking games available on Arcade. Undertow redefines aquatic based shooters through a mix of high-definition graphics, intuitive controls and multiple modes of game play action. The game features a full story driven-single player campaign, on and offline co-op, and multiplayer for 2-16 players over Xbox LIVE for Gold subscribers. Players battle for control of the oceans as one of three selectable races, each with four unique, upgradeable units. "Undertow" is available worldwide (normally 800 Microsoft Points) and is rated E10+.

Call me crazy, but calling support (1-800-4MY-XBOX, found in your quote) might give you a better answer than any of us non-ms employees could. Just a hunch.

QUOTE(vokal4 @ Jan 19 2008, 06:53 PM) *

i just want to add my 2 cents even though i honestly don't care too much for the whole situation (and yes, i am a live subscriber).

1-take the game and be happy. it could be nothing you're getting
2-as far as people saying the TOS will get them right out of anything is not true. i took a business law class which was taught by a legit lawyer (and not some shitty public defender, this guy is big in my school's area) and explained that things like that, or stupid signs like "all sales are final" are not what they appear to be. as with most situations (unfortunately) in this country, with the right lawyers and whatnot, a customer can get his way. i don't know what terms the lawyer for those guys suing is going to argue but i can assure you the case won't just get tossed out in half a second cause of the TOS. obviously MS gets insane defense but thats another story. im not some know-it-all about the whole thing but this came from the words of an attorney who's won nearly all his cases.

Sure....how convenient that you just happen to know a lawyer.   I highly doubt you've ever set foot in a real law class let alone know any lawyers.

Your not voicing your opinion, your simply making cr@p up.  Your story is has real as all those other idiots on the internet who always claim to "know this guy" or "have a friend" or other pathetic story just so they can pretend to have some legitimacy.

Just out of interest...

Has anyone thought that there may be some kind of spyware built into the free version of undertow that will check to see if the firmware's been modified on your xbox?

I know this is grasping at a conspiracy theory, but it just seems strange that it's a limited time offer.  That's typical marketing for 'get it now, before you know anything about it'.

Gahh! - I hate thinking these underhanded thoughts but they just pop in there blink.gif
