XBL: Max 100 Friends? - Microsoft Looking into the Issue
« Reply #15 on: February 04, 2020, 06:48:00 AM »

I only have like 4 friends on my list :_(

I can understand people wanting more because often I'll see a thread in say, Penny Arcade forums, that is a list of gamertags for a certain game. Those lists can be 2 or 3 times that of the limit sometimes, so if you want to play with people who have a common interest in games with you. . . good luck?

100 ppl i think is much but then again my little bro alwayz adds someone he played with .. i just add my real friends and play with them i guess its upto the person on how many friends they have since they are networking the gamertags

as for mlapaglia post you would of thought it is simple script and it probably is  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

exactly, those that randomly add friends to their lists would get near this limit, but most of those sensibly playing with both real-life friends and than also adding those that share similar interests that they find while playing on XBL should not get close to this limit.

some people are so willing to accept friends - i remember one night as a test on an extra account, i asked every person from every game that i played to be my friend...i was surprised how many after just one game with little interaction just accepted the invite...

if the "limit" is just a simple script, then maybe MS misplaced the location of that script...

I have 5 friends on my list, all those are IRL friends that I meet more or less regularly. I really doubt anyone can say that they have more than 100 good friends that also own an xbox1/xbox360. Imo people should just stop invite everyone and their mother to their friends lists and only add people they really like. I wouldn't care if MS lowered this limit to max 30 people  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Still, fact remains that this is a limitation. And why would you want to be so limited?

Yeah? So is allowing users to add a 100 million billion trillion zillion friends. Not enough. Just need ONE more...
