im thinking of just keeping mine and not sending it back in again.  it will end up banned again when i play online after modding it.  so whats the point?  its got a nice motherboard in it now and works fine.  i only use it to play my backups anyways.

so now i dont know what i wanna do.  i dont want one with the same error again.

and with all the new bannings, its gonna get banned sooner or later.

Same situation with me as well

W: 0000-0021
X: 0002-F001
Y: 00C2-03E0
Z: 0000-0000

Console had 3 rlod. sent it away for repair. came back yesterday and had no connection to xbox live. passed everything else and failed on xbox live.

Worked pefectly fine before i sent it away and now nothing. tested other consoles from friends. they worked fine no problems. So after two failed attempts at talking to live support i called tech support this morning. I explained the whole situation to her with it worked, sent for repair, now it doesn't. explained that other consoles worked fine connected through router and connected directly. mine does not work at all.

I kept re-inforcing that it worked before i sent it away and now it doesn't and other consoles do work. Also told her that i am not the only one experiencing this. so after an hour of re-inforcing my point she aggreed to have me ship it away for repair and if that fails my console will be replaced.  smile.gif

I am in australia too for anyone else from aus here with a similar issue.

so go straight to tech not to the live guys. hopefully i will get a fully working console back. but knowing M$ something else will go wrong. *knocks on wood*

got console back for the second time from repair that was for this issue. Still fails to connect. they didn't fix anything. very very pissed off. i am going to try again and request a new console. Or else i am going to take this to the Department of Fair Trading.

I'll keep everyone posted on what happens with this situation

You do realise live has serious issues at the moment and people can not sign in.

yeah i realise that. that is why i rang them. they told me it was up and going now. and then proceeded to tell me that my console is banned and that it has been tampered with. but it never has. that this is why it will not connect. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

no idea what to do from here. guess i just have to cop it on the chin and go by a new console.

Hey guys i think i must agree with the why bother just buy another console after reading this topic, ive just tried to connect my fixed console from the classic 3rlod and have the xbox live error my status codes are:

W 0000-0021
X 0000-F001
Y 0002-03C0
Z 0000-0000

Ive rang xbox live too many times, the once a guy got me on the line that much that i was on the phone for over an hour (from mobile = EXPENSIVE!) just to send it out from rrod. It seems they dont really know too much about the consoles apart from whether the adapter light is green or red. This is now my third and im rather miffed that they messed this one up again. Ive already fixed the console myself since it came back from servicing a month ago as the magnet snapped of in the drive lol! I do believe that you spend more money getting them to send it off than its worth!

I have gotten confirmation that my console is infact banned. This error code is simply a new banned code for consoles that have been repaired. They checked their database and it was banned there.

So I guess I will be buying a new xbox arcade then. Wonder if anyone will buy a banned but flashed xbox 360 tongue.gif

I'm very surprised to hear that people are being told this is a ban code.  I'm now sending my console in for a third repair after speaking with a supervisor and I really think they would have told me that I'm banned by now.  The supervisor calls me every couple days to give me status updates.  I'll let everyone know what happens next but he basically said they were going to send me a new console.

I am glad I bought a new one the second I sent this one in the first time though, it has been three months of this back and forth.  I'm sending the box back tomorrow morning so I'll have a final update by the end of next week one way or the other.

did you call about it?  they sent me a box but i never sent my console in.  after hearing that people keep getting back non working consoles after resending them in.  so i said screw it.  i use my elite online.

riddick, was your console modded when you sent it in? or was it already banned?

After the third repair I gave up.  They made such a huge deal of calling me every day and saying everything would be fixed and then they just sent back the same console with the same problem... again.

So I'm going to putting this one on ebay with a note saying that it won't connect to Live for unknown reasons.  Microsoft what are you doing?

Wow, I had no idea this was becoming such an issue for ppl. Granted, there have been issues with LIVE lately, but something tells me theres more to this than just that.

I hate Sony as a company, but am slowly begining to feel the same way about MS right now after reading how their tech support/console replacement is being handled.

This is really unexceptable and find it rather shocking how they are doing ppl this way AND getting away with it. What can the consumer do to enforce better service and product support??

This is the question at hand...

I had the exact same error codes.  Sent it back they changed the motherboard, but still had the error codes.  Is this a possible IP ban?
