Okay, I just registered to these forums, but i've been having trouble with my 360. I'll break down all the info that's needed.

I used the 12-month free glitch last year and created a few gamertags, but around the same time I must have came down with a hardware failure (unrelated) so that box may or may not have been banned.

10 months later (Beginning of Oct 07) i sent the 360 back due to hardware failure, about a week ago I received a new (and different) 360.

Before my xbox 360 broke, xbox live worked perfectly fine with the SAME NETWORK CONFIGURATION (ethernet cable > switch > linksys wrt54gs router.) But i have a new PC, i dont know if that is related though.

upon setting up my 360 (plugging in the old HDD), i tested xbl and i got wired connection, and everything CONFIRMED except for Xbox Live, which says Failed.

Error status report
W: 0000 - 000B
X: 0000 - F001
Y: 00C2 - 03E0
Z: 0000 - 0000

i called xbl support and they said it was a connection problem, but how so if it was the same network configuration ?

what i'm basically trying to do is diagnose what my problem is, if anyone can help me out it'd be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. (i do have a legitimate gamertag, 50$ year)

i'm not sure what type of connection you have, but when i get a new peice of equipment i have to register the MAC addy with my isp.

My ISP is AOL, and i get my cable from Cablevision if that's what you mean..

same issue here mate, got the issue back with a benq (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) will send it back after beating assasins creed

XBLive is up again but it is acting like shit i have restarted my xbox several times as call of duty keeps telling me that my network connection isnt active ?
Privatechat invites take like 2 minutes till they arrive
The gamercards in my friendslist dont show up at all
I think I dont have to mention that I am unable to join any matches online(well it seems to be trying but freezes after a few mintes)
As 2 of my friends are having the same problems(yes i made it in a private chat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)!) I decided to check majornelson.com for some reasons.However I was welcomed by a huge notice saying Server ERROR in Application blabla Runtime Error no blabla so this indicated to me XBL must be down again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Since H3 was launched XBL is really working like shit and I dont get it why anyone is paying for that crap I pay 6€ a month and freaking M$ cant even get proper servers for that, this is really sad
I really really hope that they finally get the custom kernels done so that we hopefully will be able to play on xbc again I never had any problems like that on there

I got the exact same error code. It was recently repaired they changed motherboard and DVD. Live never worked after I got it back from repair.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)

However did you guys get a update prompt when you first started the console after you got it back ? I did and updated it ofc. And I don't know if it actually downloaded the update from live or not.

when u join xbox live and get the silver account
ur supposed to get a year free
and we have been makin accounts until recently only his works and mine dont

Please read the RRoD thread above as I have explained what I have discovered is the cause of this error and how to get M$ to repair the issue (provided you did not cause it  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)  )
