I have a xbox360 console and well i have turned it on multiple times with the stata cable not connect to the DVD ROM and i read a while back that uc an get banned if ms relized yr dvd drive was not connect to your mother board whn powered on??

so cna i stillplay on xboxlive with out getting baned

No, you shouldn't get banned for just disconnecting the DVD drive.

Has your drive ever been re-flashed with a modified firmware, though?

yea it has been flashed but i with flash with with ixtreme if i decide to play online ?? or shoul i just leave it casue whn i go online i be playing non of my backups

you definitely want ixtreme if you want to use live.
