First of all, it's our hardware, not theirs. Secondly, if you think they're protecting it, how about all the design flaws they have yet to fix, or even moreso, all the errors you can get that ARE NOT covered by warranty (lasers no longer reading games, overheating, disc scratching, etc).
Their service's integrity, I'm all for protecting. If I'm paying for this so-called "service", then I don't want to play with a bunch of cheaters (ie people doing glitches and hacks to get an unfair advantage).
The beta being closed, in my own opinion, is stupid. Be that as it may, I do *accept* the fact that they *can* do what they want to about it. I just think they're in the wrong.
I almost got arrested once for vending without the proper license for a very specific area of town. I explained to the officer what I was doing, and showed the licenses I had. He then told me he wasn't going to do anything, because even though the 'letter' of the law was to arrest me, he felt it wasn't in the 'spirit' of the law. Just because a bunch of people wanted to get in on an improperly handled and improperly channeled beta by doing something that's technically wrong, recieving a punishment for it is more wrong.
Is that what those little brown things are? I thought they were just special stones to throw at lakes with goldfish in them. When I buy something at the gas station (93 octane) or wherever for that matter, I'm usually the guy who'll leave a nickel in the penny tray, just because. I may goto the bar, and spend over $100 in a night. I almost never buy off-brand items (except for electronics that were rebranded anyway; with them you research specs instead of brands). I pay over $500 for a 1 bedroom apartment, and I spend over $1500 a year on BOTTLED WATER. That being said, you can see that $7 a month is not a freaking issue to me. I would just PREFER that M$ actually give me something for that money, rather than simply charging me to "unlock" the multiplayer aspect of games (which is ALL THEY DO; prove me wrong).
you do not own the xbox u are "renting" it
