Xbox 360 Firmware Question
« on: August 25, 2007, 01:43:00 PM »

Ok, here's the deal.  I am planning to buy a 360 soon and had a couple of questions.  I want to be able to play backups so I am going to do a firmware hack.  But I will buy retail games like Gears of War.  Now, if I do the hack, is there any way I can revert back to the original firmware (w/ original game such as Geow) when I want to go on xbox live?  Maybe use the blaster 360 to keep switching the firmware from hacked to non hacked?  I'm just trying to avoid having to buy two xbox 360's, one for backups only and then one to play online.  Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks for your time!

Thanks for the reply bro, So if I reflash to the original, I can avoid being banned if I play online using retail games?

P.S. If yes, then I dont see why people dont do that more often...

If you play a retail game with a different firmware (one that allows backups to be played) can Live detect it/will you be banned?
