First of all I have never taken back ups on line.  Got up this morning and attempted to get on live and got these error codes when running a connection test:

W: 0000-000B
X:  0000-F001
Y:  20A8-4840
Z:  0000-0000

I've looked for these codes on this site with no luck....Hope im not banned, but if I am oh well......thanks

Oh, it passes all the connection tests and even lets me go onto marketplace, but when I attempt to look at any game demos, or game videos it says "cant retrieve information from xbox live.  please try again later.   Status code: 807b01f7"

I have ixtreme 1.2c (previous was original firmware) and a ms25 drive

youre not banned...im an unmodded owner and i cant get on xbox marketplace to dl any demos....you can still play on live tho right?

Thanks guys, its back up now....must have been an internal issue...
