you people talking about how ms screwed you over or variants of the sort make me laugh.
if you have modified firmware, played on live with a burnt game, then you violated the terms of service that you agreed to when you first connected your system to live.
by that logic, they have the right to do whatever they want, short of bricking your system.be thankful your gamer profile is still good.heck, your ip address hasn't even been banned.
not to accuse the critics, but these firmware mods give you the potential to download and play games for no more than the price of the blank disc.for a while you also had the potential to take your virtually free game on live.the money makers are the games, not the systems.prior to the elite, ms was losing money per unit sold.
again, i'm not accusing anyone of piracy..but that is the deepest detriment to ms that these firmware hacks have caused.
my system has been banned.i knew backups on live wouldn't last forever.i have no complaints with there action because i operated against there policy.there's no reason for me to justify that.its not the "right" thing to do just because i did it.folks gotta think outside of themselves and use an ounce of logic and detract a few ounces of selfishness.
