the only way to removed a card is to add another
just add a card thats about to run out and everyone will be ok
This is not true!I have 5 cards on my account and only one of them is displayed as removed on
https://billing.microsoft.com/ and what is more my account and cards were used when my 360 was stolen last year, and what made this even more frustrating for me wasÂ… the thieves had 5 cards available for them to use! I still have access to them all now!
You cannot even remove the details of a card that may have been entered by mistake, which is ridiculous and basically bloody stupid, but then add to that the fact you can still not remove a card using the online services via your PC and then add to that the brick wall that customers are recording when communicating directly with Microsoft, suggests to me that this is not an oversight, but in fact, a business practice.
It is obvious that this practise benefits only Microsoft and it is also clearly dangerous to the consumer and I for one, after reading so many of your posts, will be contacting the DTI regarding this mater. In light of the documented dangers associated with retaining credit card information and the current climate of internet and wireless fraud, it seems absurd that one of the leaders in services and technologies against such crimes, would allow such a vulnerability to exists.
It would also be very helpful if people reframed from posting untested hypothesis as in the one quoted above, thank you.
