the only really i want to remove one of my cards is because sometimes i accidentally charge MS points to my old account (which i no longer use) thus it puts me into the black, eventually my banks going to catch on and whack me with a £40 fine. i don't want that laugh.gif

Try going to this site...

https://billing.microsoft.com and log in there with your email and password.

That is how I removed my Credit Card from Xbox Live.

So what exactly did you click on to remove the credit card? Have you even tried it? I doubt it. I just called Xbox to remove my CC, and they said that in the past you couldn't remove the card, but this policy has changed over the last month. They said that it would take up to 10 business days to process the rmoval. I'm gonna hold my breath...

Yea I don't get the big deal about this..  Do to your favorite mall/bank, get one of those handy 'disposable/rechargable' credit cards (malls call them gift cards) and simply change your info to that, or simply use that if you've not entered one previously/new box whatever..

Just because you have to give em a credit card doesn't mean it has to be your daily "real" card....  I NEVER use real stuff..  Not for ANYTHING online.  Not XBOX/MS, not ebay/paypal, not any online store purchase.  I do NOT need my personal info stored somewhere waiting to be hacked.  It's that simple fellas and ladies ;0

I had canceled my credit card and microsoft still charged me on that credit card... I was still getting Credit card bills every month to my old address for 2 years, it hurt my credit because I didnt pay it off for 2 years cause I thought the credit card was cancelled. The credit card company said they had to honor the contract I had with microsoft even though my credit card was canceled, I had argued with them for 2 hours then finally just paid it off because I was getting sick of talking to them.

All theese posts just makes me even happier that I decided from the start to only use prepaid-cards to buy membership and points and thus never entering any creditcard info on my xbox Live account. Maybe I'm abit paranoid, but I don't want to give out my creditcard numbers to anyone if I can avoid it.

Well, I don't know what country you live in, or what area, but in my are (Chicago) it costs $13 to activate a Visa gift card. So unless you plan on using it for an extended period of time, it not worth it to make one purchase. Even worse, a one-time $4 purchase.

I did the same thing, but you have to use a Credit Card to buy the new Blastacular Halo 2 maps due to some bullshit excuse that they had to make it the same for both platforms. What a line of crap, they were just too lazy to add the other option of allowing a marketplace download.

I know some people would say "then don't download the new maps, they're lame anyways". I would have to agree with them, except for the fact that I'll end up getting booted from a bunch of game once the new maps go live. This is due to the fact that over half of the playlist will use the new maps. What a crock of shit

Once again M$ proves they care more about money than happy customers. What a horrible business model. After seeing the complete lack of quality control with the 360 I'm not surprised by this at all. When my current (2nd) 360 dies (and I know it will sooner rather than later) I'm selling all my 360 games and buying a damn PS3. M$ doesn't deserve anymore of my money. Just too bad I've already given them so much.

This is sum BS, I made a couple 1 month GOLD accounts threw time with my 360, used my cc thinking they would just give me 1 month gold and it would expire.... after awhile i stopped using those accounts.

Not thinkin they would contiue chargeing me $7.99 a month well...I was wrong after I saw the charges keep rolling in on my cc statement I called M$ and straightned it out wiht sum doosh bag on tha phone who said he would take all accounts off both my cc's and I would not be charged anymore.

That was in January and im still getting charged a $7.99 fee 3 times a month for accounts im not even using!!! I havent even had an xbox 360 for about 2 months (sold it) but yet their  are still fees coming threw this is rediculous, Im gonna call again and try for a 5th time to straightn this out but ffs I shouldnt have to!!

just thought i'd say that i have removed a card from my account.  Hear lies the proof:

IPB Image

go to billing.microsoft.com.  However, the only way i found to do this is to actually add another card and transfer everyting to it by selecting it as your new payment method.  Your old card will then be "removed".  However, im still unaware as to a way to remove a card without adding a new one.  It's gotta be possible though...

Then you are getting totally screwed.  Both in Ohio as well as Az and CA it costs a whopping $1 to activate a VISA gift card. LoL..  Chicago must really suuuuucccckkk, or wherever you're going sure does.

Well, the $13 Visa service charge is the only thing that any Ohio city has over Chicago (Don't get me started on AZ & CA). At least you have that going for you.

This is horrible. A blatant case of corporate moral hazard and there is nothing we can do. Be smart, buy point cards and renewal cards and keep your CC away from corporations with in place immoral policy's.

They make you call to cancel. Why cant i just do it from the website. X-L wont let me change my cc number to a phony number either(need to add a second cc). If they just changed the lock on cc editing all would be ok.
