Ahaaa!! I have just noticed something with the update...

Since the last update (1080p) i haven't been able to play live with my firewall on (zonealarm) even tho i opened all the right ports (88,3074) etc

But now i can!!! YAYYYYY!!!!

I think the live config has been fine tuned!!

Anybody else noticed this?

previous week a friend had issues with both original and joytech vga cables
and called m$ and they told him that the issue will be fixed next week
i guess "next week" arrived today

i haven't updated as i'm at work now. but just reading up on xbox.com forum to find they keep locking topics regarding this update....

so it could be a security fix (guessing) or some sort of network issue. unlike the PS3, i thought Xbox 360 only update twice a year...

Yes i do READ POSTS DAY IN DAY OUT!!! Because it keeps me uptodate for work, and also that i am an electronic engineer (Beng not Meng yet) i got a 2.1 last year and before that i did a 4 year electrical engineering apprentiship!

I wonder how you flashed a Hitachi with extreme 4.2 when opa 2.3 stealth is the latest release for the hitachi drives.

hmmm....I don't know what happened but this is fooking awesome. I have the old 47DJ hitachi drive. It was also flashed with the older version of xtreme firmware or something (I know its firmware version 1.1) Anyways, I would normally have to cold boot my back ups to get them to work.....they would never launch directly from the dash. But after last night's update, everything boots with no problem at all (even from the dashboard)

Before the update I hadn't turned on my 360 since early november so maybe I missed an update that included some upgraded form of media detection. Either way, thanks MS

i specially remember the Netherlands network fix long ago as i remember making joke for number of population. can't remember which forum i posted that though. anyways, they can't have improved it again in Netherlands
