Is that the Connection settings for the Modem to the PC, or from the PC to the Xbox?

I guess its from PC to Xbox?

So thats your setup so far:-

IPB Image

The PC is acting as a server to the Xbox 360

Therefore I think you need to be entering the IP, DNS, Subnet, Etc. Manually into the 360 (im really in the dark here though, as i use a network hub that shares the internet):-

Go to the system blade in your dashboard, choose network settings, edit settings, then enter...

IP Settings        Manual

Ip Address        10.0.0.3
Subnet Mask     255.255.255.0
Gateway           10.0.0.2

DNS Settings     Manual

Primary DNS Server   10.0.0.2
Secondary DNS Server  0.0.0.0 (leave it blank)

Then in Windows XP, in the network connections box select your LAN connection to your 360, right click it and select "Bridge Connections" (or something like that). Then choose your internet. I guess maybe youve already done this last thing.

I take it youve also enabled ICS (internet connection sharing) using the network wizard?

It should be as simple as bridging the two connections / enabling ICS, you should be able to leave all the setting automatic, especially without a Router / Hub or anything.  sad.gif

I take it you are using crossover cable? How do you know that the Network connection between the 360 is fine? Can you share music with it or something? Whilst using the same info:-

IP Settings Manual

Ip Address 10.0.0.3
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 10.0.0.2

DNS Settings Manual

Primary DNS Server 10.0.0.2
Secondary DNS Server 0.0.0.0 (leave it blank)

Try opening the command prompt again (start > run > cmd) and type "ping 10.0.0.3", post the results.

Righty just got back from football,

Well the results of pinging show that the PC cant even see the xbox 360 (not a good sign).  sad.gif

For me, my Broadband Router is located at 10.0.0.2 (which all other PC/Xboxes connect to as a DNS, and are then given an IP). You might consider buying a cheap broadband router; you can pick them up for as little as £20 (35 euros, ish), and you will then be able to turn off your PC and still connect to live. There is also far better support for your specific router then (usually via the manufacturer support forum), and depending on the speed of your computer, you may notice an increase in speed aswell! biggrin.gif
