People cant brag about the torrent they just downloaded...then you cant brag bout the game you just bought...

Incorrect statement.

Rules forbid discussion of downloading games.  Legitimate gamers can brag all day long about the games they buy.  It's called the moral high ground and it's defended here.

Failed for me too here in Glasgow UK, but to be honest, I'm actually relieved to see others arent signing in and its not just me  blink.gif

was wanting a game of links 2004 from the original xbox with me brother  (the demo of tiger woods 07 on the 360 (just like fifa 07) blows donkey..) and it just disconnected me, then it wouldnt reconnect (for a second I thought I wuz banned but me 360 is unmodded so I quickly discounted that  tongue.gif)

this bloody update better be worth it and not just updated parental controls  grr.gif

and the status codes I get on the test are..

W: 0000-000B
X: 0000-F009
Y: 0C8A-0DE0
Z: AFFF-0016

Been having the same problems as you guys since the day PSU came out, my tests all pass and yet xbox live fails, very frustrating.

I have the very same status codes as the guy quoted here, i have a feeling you guys, like me are gonna be offline for a while.

I had been through every test imaginable, the only thing stopping me calling my ISP's tech support is i dont speak spanish!

Will be watching this thread like a hawk, meanwhile check out the thread regarding this problem i created last week - http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=554766

Good luck guys, if anyone wants more details give me a hallow.  smile.gif

Omg, this is starting to piss me off now...

I try to sign in to my xbl gold account, it says it cant connect to live.... then it said my gamertag is corrupt!

I go and try my buddies xbl gold account (whos profile is on my xbox) and it works INSTALY...

Then I go into UNO, and it kicks me off....

WTF is going on..?

I know XBL is screwed up right now, but i'm guessing the problems may ease up a bit if everyone stops trying to sign in every few seconds.

MS did go over their 24 hour quoted time but there's nothing that can be done about it on here. You wanna complain? Call up your xbox support team and bitch to them that you're not getting a service you paid for-etc (I'm not being sarcastic, go and do it!). If enough people do it, maybe it'll get MS to try and speed up repairs and get live back up fully.

In the meantime, take a break, work on singleplayer games for a while and chill out.

Xbox live is currently borked. Instead of wasting time trying to sign in, why not do something else with your day?

When live is back up 100%, i'm sure MS will announce it so just stick major nelson's site into your rss reader and you're good to go.

This section is going to be busy even when it is back stable and working.
I wonder how many people have messed with their settings during this , and will then find they still can't connect later on because of it.
Even though this is clearly a fault at MS side of things some people with hacked consoles are still convincing themselves they are doomed for ever unsure.gif

Could you contradict yourself anymore in one statement  unsure.gif

Haha, you're right. I just read over my original post and it definitely could have been worded better.

That's the last time i post on Xbox-Scene when i'm still half-asleep.  biggrin.gif

Well since your original box is useless for Live now (according to you) might as well sell it to me cheap... I'll buy it..

Ok firstly I think you should all let people be upset if they get banned for having hacked firmware.
Yes its going to happen and yes we should accept these as the consequences for having the modded drives, but its still going to piss us of. Someone said if you commit the crime you do the time but you still dont enjoy the time do you?

Anyway.

UK server
Samsung drive (flashed)
Marketplace working.
Xbox live arcade working.
All games seem fine too.

Can see no updates to live other than speed.

Yeah I dont have a problem being banned for having a flashed FW, however when you see people playing online with the same FW as you, you have to asume that it cant be the firmware.  Plus i got "Disconnected" before the server downtime, and was off for 7 days before buying a new console.

I read an old topic on xbox.com's forum ( search for "live failed" ), that there was a fault with refurbished consoles, i count find a definative answer or solutions as the thread was old and the links for the full thread were dead, it mentions cache clearing etc etc.

None of which got me back online, i contacted customer support who told me my account was fine and there was no problems at all at there end, they asked me to check my ports and such, went through the usual 15 minute script before the guys brain actually kicked in and his mouth began to work for itself.

I then asumed it must be an ISP fault, but a friend of mine that lives nearby was connecting fine.

So i took a gamble and bought a new console, and it worked first time, i then flashed the firmware with the latest hitachi FW and played online fine for the past 2 hours or so, i even managed to buy Lumines.

Tried my original 360 just now again and it is still failing the live test, and i wont be lossing on this 360, where i live there are many folk with no dsl/cable who will quite happily buy a pre modded console.
