I phoned live as I'm having exactly the same problem.

It's a problem at their end apparently, and is being fixed ATM

Can you do me a favor and tell me when it is working for you? That way I can find out if it is their error for sure or its mine.

set you mtu to 1492 and you shouldn't have a problem

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I thought i got banned from xbox live or something ill check to see if it works in a minute and the post back.
