i pay $50 for unlimited

(well as far as i know its unlimited. ive downloaded WAY more than 20 gigs on some months. it could be that the first week i got BB was the same week i got XBL. got 1 call asking about my high net usage and i told them i play online games. they were like "oh, okay then" lol)

My bad, I read his post incorrectly, I thought he said he paid $25 for 6mb as in 6mbps. I have unlimited downloading and my speed is 1.5/768 mbps

And yeah, I'm really waiting to see the first true "banning." It will be interesting to see what the person is banned for and how long it takes to be banned.

Believe me, if I had any other option I'd be using this dish as a boat anchor. I'm basically being raped at the rate of $70 a month for 1m down 256k up and last i looked about .7s lag. The cable is only 3 miles away but my ass will probably be long gone by the time it makes it here.

so don't spend too much time crying in the corner tgm.

700 ms lag? yeah thats not gona work at all for online play. we had satelite at work and the latency/packet loss was stunning, it truly would be better suited for a boat anchor

It sucks if you cannot get dsl or something, but Sat DOES NOT WORK FOR GAMING. You are actually better on dial up for gaming instead of sat.

Ping Times (Lag) Averages (gaming is best at 120 or less):

Cable: 20
DSL: 50 - 120
Dial Up: 400 - 600
Sat: 900 - 1200

Even if you have a good download/upload on sat, the lag makes gaming on it impossible.

I live right on the edge of DSL so i get raped in cost for a slow 512k connection, but i am at least happy i can game i guess
