First time I try to play the game online and I'm banned before even 1 race? I can still get to the gotham tv and shit, just can't play.

I also remember him talking about he has a satillite connection in another post. I almost wonder if his lag was so bad they would have banned him thinking he was trying to lag people out. I doubt it though.

if thats your LIVE account then the reason you cant play online is because you gotta have XBL GOLD ($50 a year) to play any LIVE game online

He's right it is Silver. But isn't Silver really Gold the 1st month, or would it show gold if he was using the free month?

No firmware, it's a virgin box and original game. I just signed up for silver so I have gold for a month but as I suspected satellite isn't worth a shit.

I tried it again later and got to the lobby no problem but couldn't start a race. It kept saying couldn't communicate with all others, or couldn't contact server. I'm assuming it's connection related.

I haven't even tried Kameo or COD2 but Quake 4 left me stuck in a corner where I started, could move a little bit but was immedately sucked back to the corner. PDZ seems to be the only game I can play at all but still get killed by shit I didn't even see yet.

One other thing I've noticed is that my profile isn't signed in automatically anymore even though it is set to. Don't know if it has anything to do with the last update or if it's something else.

Oh and it took like 10 hours to download the moto gp demo. It was cookin at first but then slowed to less than a crawl.

But the account also shows as gold for those who were asking. It's supposed to automatically revert to silver at the end of the month

i didnt even know that you could connect to LIVE through a sat. connection.  

either way, that is the source of your problem.  do you live somewhere where you can get cable or DSL?  i get up to 6gb for only $25 a month on DSL with no problems.
