Getting Halo 2 To Work On Xbox Live On The 360

it could be that your gamertag is not set to auto sign-in. if i dont have my gamertag set to auto sign in b4 i boot halo2 i dont have the option to choose any availible gamertags to use with halo2 live.

i dont know if thats the problem you are having bit thats the only problem ive run into when playing halo2.

i have never touched the family settings on my 360 so i know that wouldnt cause your problem

I had the same problem, what seems to work for me is, my 360 has to be logged into live before halo 2 boots. I'll bet that the begining Bungie display is a bit choppy when you it wont let you log in. So just log into live on your 360 before you load halo 2.
Best of luck hope that helps.

Load up 360 without a game make sure you're signed into live, then insert the disk. Since the xbox is emulated you need to be logged in before you start.

This could be it. It's strange because it IS set to auto sign-in whenever I disconnect my 360 from live (this is booting into the dashboard) but when I connect it to live, it doesn't auto sign-in to my gamer profile or xbox live. Strange... Any tips on how to fix this?

Do you have any extra profiles on your 360? If you do it will only sign you in on your 360 but not into live.

Lpk is right you mush sign into live before the emulator works, at least for me it does.

Thanks folks. Got it to work... Now the trick is getting the NAT to cease being "moderate" and be "open" (yes, I've opened up those ports that tgm4883 posted). I connect using the Macintosh equivalent of an ICS connection (sharing an internet connection over ethernet), and I'm told that it's basically impossible to get a decent NAT when you use ICS...
