if you have AOL dialup, you can't play, simple as that.  if you have "AOL Broadband" which is usually not really AOL but just access to the AOL service through your cable provider's ISP then you'll be able to.  not to be an asshole or anything but i don't want to type out instructions if you have dialup so please confirm which you have

i'll need to know more about how you connect to the internet.  is it cable or dsl?  do you pay your cable or phone company or aol directly?  what kind of modem do you have, etc?  i know that you are going to be sharing through the pc which can already cause a lot of unwanted issues so if we can get the modem/server provider cleared up, it should help out setting up the rest.

Hi spinr34 I'am connected using adsl with a 1meg connection, I pay a monthly fee to aol, the modem i'am using is a BT voyager 105, if this is any help i've got a dynamic ip addy.
