everyone seems to be having a similar error...I'm getting the same thing...as state previously it has something to do with the updates...i guess we all just have to be patient...and give it a few days...

They said the system is being updated and will be down for the next 24 hours

My XBOX Live is failing as well.

Error Status Report:
W: 0000-000B
X: 0000-000D
Y: 0C88-1C00
Z: 0000-0000

Anyone have any ideas?

I have a very similar code as well I have been on playing today before about 6:30 my time its now 8:45 and I get almost the same error. No internal mods whatsoever.

So you don't have a firmware hack, and your XBL connection fails on the test screen?

is anyone else having problems streaming music also?  i can't do either.  and note that i can access my shared music on other pc's in my house, but not my 360.

This seems to be the error you get if you're trying to connect via wired ethernet, the other popular one is the one you get with the wireless networking adapter.  I'm having the issue as well.

I tried it wired and with the wireless adapter, and I had errors both ways, with some slight differences in the error report.

A heads up to everyone I also called support and their servers are bugging out. Not all of them are but many are that is why we are seeing people saying they can still connect and other are getting errors. I have actually gotten a few different errors just by restarting my 360. So they are still unclear as to what the codes mean.

And no I have no firmware mod, I actually think its one of the dumbest things out there to mod your firmware.

Ditto..I just wanted to add my 2 pennies....while speaking of pennies I think MS should credit all Live users 1+ (if this keeps up) day(s) to make up for this.....I mean it is a paid service.
