Ok, so you buy a basic xbox 360 and you get a free siler membership and you buy the more advanced version. Those of us with current xbl subscriptions.... is the remainder of our subscription a gold one or are we SOL?

It has nothing to do with what system Im playing online with at the time.

I've had my account since beta, and I intend to keep it. So all you have to do is link your gamertag to a passport account, and use the passport account on your 360, and you are ready to go. You can still play on your original Xbox too.

fyi, when you first try to log into live on the 360 there will be an account revovery option, you just need to do that.
