so i got live when it first came out...my friends and i didnt hplay enough at home for it to be worht wile to re-up after the first year...so we modded our boxes and never spoke of live again...
but now with the 360 being very live dependant will i need a new gamer tage or is my tag still associated wiht my name/address/credit card info?
has any one canceled and gotten their gamer tag back?

No, you cannot get it back. I cancelled a 2 month trial and when I got another one, I tried the same GT...it didn't work.

hes talking about renewing his 1 year sub he had

no adding a 2month code onto a pre existing account

Your allowed to change your gamer tag now for Xbox live on the 360 so I guess it is possible.

They can't even create a new account with the gamertag you used? Like, without your friends/stats/etc. Although, it still keeps track of them, I think.

nope...I can NOT get my GT back. nor can anyone else use my GT.
