ok this is just an example, but, say like in halo 3 you can make your own maps. it sould be cool if you could sell these maps on live for some type of xbox live currency(not real money just like xbox live tokens). then you can build up your currency and buy other ppl's maps with it. also like doing good in specific games (beating halo 3 on legendary) would give you extra live tokens. this could maybe be a perk of the gold service. i think this would be a cool idea. just somethin to play around with. what do you guys think?? (puts on flame retardant suit just in case)

You could also use this "cash" for buying and selling stuff in different games like forza. That would be awesome if the currency could be used in every game.

I'm pretty sure that's already how it will work, only you don't need Gold to do that... you can do it with the Silver service. The only thing silver is missing is online play. You can still buy and sell in the marketplace. Also I believe you can put in real money in exchange for "points" to buy new content... The reason for this is probably to make a unified "currency" because obviously if your MAP cost $1 someone in Japan might not know how many yen that is.

Well I don't know about the Halo 3 part (hell as far as we know the game doesn't exist and wont ever exist) but yes you will be able to create your own game content (whatever that may be is up to the developers) then sell it for "credits" that you can use to buy other game content...

You can also get "credits" for completing certain aspects of a game (I believe MS said that they're encouraging developers to give out X amount of credits per title) Or if you're lazy you can buy credits for real money. AFAIK all downloadable content will have a "credit" value attached to it as opposed to a money value.

Yup, and they said that things like new maps can be bought at 99 cents worth of purchaseable points.

I think the online points crap is just a sneeky way to start charging people for every download thats bs..or they will make it really hard to get points think about it at first yeah people will buy maps but when that gets old and they ve been ripped off you would soon be spending real money.....but i have to admit that its fair what halo is doing by saying the map for 5.99$ will be available in a month for people who dont buy it..i can dig that but i think next gen will charge for eveything


Imagine that they sell a 50 cal for say 10 bucks and you some kid living in a trailer has a crappy weopon that cant be right..
