Xbmc Skin Mod Question..
« on: October 30, 2004, 02:56:00 AM »

I notice that all the media folders in recent skins are just one big xpr file. Older ones like Visor has them all extracted so they can be edited.

So my question is 2 parts...A, Is there a way to extractthem into a media folder to edit them....or B. possibly a list of other skins that have the media folder  in that extracted way so I can tinker with them ?

I want to customize my own skin from top to bottom but the only app out now seems very buggy , in the meantime I was hoping to get help in finding a way to change a current one.  <

I would really like this question answered too, tried a few tools and can't seem to extract the XPR. If I could I would get my design team to produce a new skin - using an existing one as a template (saving much time and focusing on the visuals).  <

If you download the CVS source code, it has all the skin files seperate in there. So you can do it that way if you wish...  <

Question has been answered many times.  Learn to love the search button.  But to answer your question, there is no way to extract the files at this time.  You can however get the individual files for pm in the cvs.  Or you can email the author of whatever skin you would like to edit and request the files.  <

shznyt, thanks dude! will download CSV.

PS. Do a search on here for 'XPR', or 'extracting XPR' and you don't get anything.  <
