This connects the lcd via the Composite Video
connect pin 23 from the AVIP to pin 6 of the lcd
connect pin 21 from the AVIP to pin 8 of the lcd

If you want Audio also:
Right Audio
connect pin 2 from the AVIP to pin 2 of the lcd
connect pin 4 from the AVIP to pin 3 of the lcd
Left Audio
connect pin 3 from the AVIP to pin 4 of the lcd
connect pin 5 from the AVIP to pin 1 of the lcd

You can also try and set it up via RGB scart. You may also need a csync signal, you can get this via a sync seperator circuit.
Green
connect pin 22 from the AVIP to pin 12 of the lcd
connect pin 20 from the AVIP to pin 8 of the lcd
Blue
connect pin 18 from the AVIP to pin 9 of the lcd
connect pin 16 from the AVIP to pin 8 of the lcd
Red
connect pin 19 from the AVIP to pin 11 of the lcd
connect pin 17 from the AVIP to pin 8 of the lcd

you will need the correct video settings switched

AVIP labeled here

the lcd runs of 7.5v the same voltage as the psone.
you cannot find 7.5v in the xbox on its own. you will have to provide it by either
using the existing wallwart and have a wire running into the lcd,
or you can buy a psone car lighter adapter and solder that to 12v.

yes i think you might need the 5v aswell but according to the tutorial on bit-tech here its only for the PAL lcds.

you will have to test it and see what happens

I have a v1.1 xbox with x3 installed and using an advanced av pack with RGB scart and optical out.
theres a few things i need answered before i try this mod........

1. can you only have one display working at once ie only tv or only lcd?

2. if so, do you have to install switches to switch from outputs?

3. are the diagrams shown for ntsc or pal?

4. Can it all be fitted inside the xbox or do i have to provide external power to the lcd??

thanks for the help

I dont have the car adapter so i cannot comment on how big it is but from what I've read, its pretty large and wont fit.
There are car voltage regulatars that you can buy that let you various voltages and these are a little smaller and easier to fit in the xbox.

--------------FAQ------------------

Q.  can you only have one display working at once ie only tv or only lcd?
A. depending on what cable you are using to connect to your tv, if its the basic 3 rca plugs then yes that will work but any other cable the lcd will not work.**

Q. are the diagrams shown for ntsc or pal?
A. afaik this will work for both signals.

-------------------------------------

* this vga wiring diagram is untested as of yet.
** if your using the rgb scart cable it still may work together.

S-video diagram coming soon
