i have an old kernel xbox, so im just getting it ready for jtag and getting the drive the way i want. im running the unstealth fw and its spoofed as a hitachi 47 drive. it sounds like a helicopter taking off, so i want to change to 5x or 8x if possible. already tried a tool to do it automatically but didnt work. so:

1. can i hexedit ix1.6 unstealth for 5x or 8x?

2. could anyone point me in the right direction?

i guess if not, i should go back to really old fw. the goal here is just to have a drive that plays ANYTHING and never go on live.

right then i'm gonna go for xtreme 5.2 modified for 5x/8x (haven't tested enough yet) using the aforementioned tool. should boot pretty much everything i recon
