wish you had a purchased a Jasper....


Remove your hard drives, and play off disc, with no memory attached.  
If it still freezes the problem is not software/hard drive related, and would then
most likely be to cause to worry as the console is probably pre-RROD.  
You could try reverting it back to stock, to see if the freezing is still occurring.  
Sounds like the console is getting hot if the fans are kicking in louder.  
Which dash are you running?  
Was the console an Xclamped Jtag?

Okay there's been a major development and not a good one unfortunately. Now when I turn it on I get an E79 error and Quadrant 4 flashing red. Sometimes (but rarely) I got quadrants 1, 2 and 3 flashing red and my understanding is this is the RROD. I take it this is the beginning of the end!?

PS: I was running with the NXE dash, it does have an x-clamp.
