Old Hitachi 3120l To Create Backups Woth Firmware To Use

Hi guys
I have an older hitachi 3120L which I want to use to create backups on my PC exclusivly wot firmware revision should I use to do this or is it a case of the 0800 disk with this drive thanks. If someone could give me a pointer I would really appreciate it thanks.
