Boot Disc Useless With Wave 5?

Where have you been? 1.7 isn't going to be released, however LT for liteon drives which I guess you could call 1.7 is already and has been released for some time now. So flash to it to LT and no need for a boot disc ever again.

as long as your firmware is new enough to work with the boot disk (it sounds like it is) you should be able to play anything. I have played left for dead 2 (wave 5) and battlefield 2 (i guessing wave 6) with the boot disk and have not had any problem. whats it doing? is it just not seeing the disk or is it saying play dvd? what type of media are you using? are you putting the boot disk in and waiting for the screen to go black or play the video before ejecting the boot disk?  boot disk should let you try to boot Anything.

What I really want to know is why Wave4 works with the activation disc and not Wave5/6. I updated to NXE 2.0.8955.0 but it still doesn't recognise the newer backups, after trying the one shot method, whereas Wave4 discs like MW2 boot just fine. I read on the web that the boot disc is supposed to work with everything, but maybe firmware 1.61 is required? Mine is either 1.5 or 1.6

The 1-shot boot disc only works with 1.6/1.61 firmware.

The burning question is how are you ripping your games?
