Its really quite simple, you cannot do it. The only way to do that is to be running XBR/Freeboot, which you cannot do on an 8XXX kernel.

Well, the JTAG hack/exploit is not possible on 8XXX kernels and up because of a physical change (burnt e-fuse). This hack will never be possible on those kernels. Could a totally different exploit be found that would work? Possibly. Great minds will always be looking for flaws, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
