Eh... back to looking for something hardware-related  sad.gif Is it relevant that Xbox turns on even when LPT cable is connected to PC? It wasn't turning on when everything was working before that disaster.

From memory, you should be able to turn on the 360 with the cable connected - it's only when you run nandpro it takes control and shuts the console down.

So, the only place to check/fix is the space under GPU chip. Some solder might have gotten under it, and bridged GPU pins. I tried compressed air, but nothing changed, so it might have stuck there. Is it possible to weaken it or melt it using fluid flux or some kind of alcohol without damaging factory solder balls?

Here are the photos of that little hole on the trace between GPU and RAM I wanted to check it out: (There was a small ball of solder in that little hole, but heated it with soldering iron and it came off.)

This is the zoom in of that red rectangle in picture above:

Even more zoom:

What do you think, is the trace broken?

There's only one surefire way to tell - get a fiberbglass pencil and etch the coating away from either side. Then get a continuity tester and make sure you're getting continuity from the points either side.

I tested that trace, and sadly it's not damaged. sleep.gif

I'm thinking about giving the box for GPU reballing. Do you think it is worth trying?

Did you restore to stock nand image as suggested earlier in the thread, if not, do it. RROD can be caused by bad nand image as well as a lot of symptons reported here.  Do not mess with the clamps until you restored (and verified) the nand to original or you may compound the problem

Yes, I tried stock NAND, XBR and xell and the error remains the same.

Bump for still valid problem. Now that I received a NAND-X usb programmer I flashed whole 512MB stock backup and problem remains the same...

Anyone with this problem?
