0x51 Benq... Please Help
« on: June 29, 2009, 08:03:00 PM »

I have a ASUS 690g chipset MOBO and I have been trying to flash my BENQ for the past few hours. I finally realized that I needed VIA PCI card. I'm just wondering if there is away for me do it without it.

I'm using Iprep 0800 and I have made a bootable USB. I just can't get past the vendor mode. It always gets stuck at 0x51. Is there another program and or method where I can flash this drive without buying the a VIA card?

Thanks for the help guys.

OK so I figured it out myself. I have spent a good 15 hours trying to do this and I finally have had sucess.

So this is what I did.

I said F*** to iprep because I needed a VIA pci card and I wasnt going to wait 3 days and pay 20 bucks to newegg to get it. Everyone was telling me that I needed that VIA card card because my MOBO wouldnt handle BENQ (btw I have a cheap ASUS M2A-VM with an AMD 690g chipset).

I downloaded the newest version of Jungleflasher but it wouldnt work on my 64bit windows 7. I knew it worked on 32bit OS so I downloaded the 32bit trial version of windows 7 and installed it.

I manually installed portIO32 and it was alittle tricky on windows 7 but nothing a search on google wouldnt handle.

I restarted my system and also turned on the xbox at the same time.

Launched jungleflasher and followed the instructions and it worked like a CHARM!

Congrats dude. You are doing your own research. what this forums needs is people like you. You are a good example of what it takes to be a modder. RTM and experiment. We all had to do it at one point. Give yourself a pat on the back.
