Old 360 Drive In New 360?

I cued the first day of release to get my (Then Brand New) 360 Premium, since then I have had to get it fixed 3 times with the RROD, I was just wondering if I buy a bog standards new 360 can I put in my old flashed Hitatchi LG drive in and work?.

My first thoughts are no, but worth a guess.

Or alternitavely is there any way I can breathe life back in to my xclamp modded doorstop?
