Hi, I have tried to flash my new 78 drive with toolbax 4.0. I can read the Damp fine but when I choose Smart Hack Patcher I get error saying "Not all variables were resolved, cannot continue". I tried differect sata controllers, the same probelm. also the drive is indicated as ** Firmware Spoofed as GDR3120L-0078 ** although I never touched it and Xbox was never opened by anyone else. I can change the key though and flash the new key.

Help please!!!!!!

Try using Firmware Toolbox 4.6.

tried versions 3, 4 and 4.6 but no luck (

Is there any way I can flash this drive, I thought 78s werent a problem, surely somebody had this drive and flashed successfully.

Do i really have to apply patch to my original.bin? can I for example take 78-4b00.bin, give it my key and apply patch to that, then flash it? will it work?

its most likely not giving you a valid dump if it says its spoofed as the same version, i would first find out what sector your key is at (it will say right above the key in fwtoolbox) then compare the original firmware to one that was provided with a hex editing tool (i use hexworkshop) if you get any major differences (other then around where your key is) then its most likely not a valid dump.

if its not the same its recommended NOT to continue with the flash but you can transfer your key and use SHP on the valid firmware.

remember you should have an original movie or 360 game in the drive when reading and flashing.
