Xbox Dvd To Pc...power Adapter?
« on: December 29, 2007, 09:11:00 PM »

Hey everyone happy holidays..
this should be an easy question to answer, I wanna attach an ms28 drive to my comp, but i don't see the correct power plugs in my comp...(my comp = 8 pins, xbox = 12 pins). I know there are adapters out there, but they seem to be in packs with sata connectors, and i already have a VIA card for that. I'm just wondering what adapter I should get. I noticed a post similar to mine, that i can't find now, but it neglected to mention how to power the drive with the pc.

PS: I finally fixed my 3 rings death, it deffidently was not a 1023 error it was 0102, haha i read it wrong and bought another ms28 as a result (im gonna try to use that extra in my comp now). I ended up doing the X-Clamp fix..worked like a charm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

hi there well if you read up a bit you would see that you can only connect a 360 rom to a pc itself if its a hitachi drive with connectivity kit as far as i am aware other drives need to be powered seperate and just use a sata connecion to connect drive to pc

I got one of these....

But don't forget you will need to get an extra power cable to use with your new drive unless you want to take the one from your xbox all the time.
