ok I am very very very new to this, I read alot about it prior, I loaded XBMC, and im just trying to get it to come on just so see it, so it is in my dvd2xcopy file, and I am cliking on the .xbe extension and it says;

fatal error,
Q:\XboxMediaCenter.xml line 1864648
Failed to open file

Network cable Unplugged
Unable to init network, retrying in 10 seconds

and it just keeps counting down and re counting
can someone help,

I got it from some where, and extracted it or whatever and copied it on a cdr, not FTP ing yet i know how to do it but I dont.

I have Unleash X

sounds like you have it burned to a cd
please read pinned topics... xbmc will not run from a not writeable media source
ie' CDRW or CDR or DVD-R or DVD+R. as the xbox can't write to these on the fly if your xbox can read them thats great but xbmc needs to be installed to a drive to be run. ;) read thru the pinned topics they help out alot!  <

it is burned to a CD, but I did copy it to the drive, so its on the drive and im trying to run it without a CD, so what I am saying is its copied to the drive and im not running it offf the CD

Its late i'm at work my brains dead, but you might wanna just put in a stock XML file and check with that first, if you modified your xml, which i think youdid, it looks like thats whats killing you.  <
