Wireless Connection From Pc To Xbox 360
« on: September 24, 2007, 08:38:00 PM »

I bridged my wireless connection from my PC to my 360 because the router is too far away to connect. I did the same when I was home and it worked fine without disconnecting. I moved back to school and use a different router and now it disconnects after about 10 min. (one game of halo). My computer disconnects too. I get excellent reception and everything. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Run the Test connection from your xbox 360 if it says NAT is Strict then its your router. You will have to get a new router which has NAT open, like linksys...

is the router a Netgear by the way?

I figured it out. It is a netgear router and all i did was go on the settings and change the ip address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.x.1 and the connection is actually better. all i have is an ethernet cable from my pc to the 360 and it uses the wireless from the pc.
