I just got a cheap phillips (everyone makes them) learning remote. Because my xbox is part of my whole entertainment system, I have it programed for my TV, VCR, and XBOX. It cost me 15 dollars US and can learn any IR remote, it has codes for all the big brands, and is a 6 device remote. I still have the standard remote for when my box is at a friends house.

i picked up this IR keyboard that was originally made for Dish Network HDTV receiver

it works just like a remote though, how could i go about using this in XBMC

and would it be possible to use this in LinksBoks?

hmmm... i have a keyboard for my cable box... and it has a code button (for different brands of tv's) what if i put the rca dvd code... just as if it was an universal remote???

i got the webtv keyboard programmed to RCA code, however, the actual buttons for the keyboard do not set to RCA code, they stay webtv.

only the channel up and down, and volume, and those type buttons worked on the xbox
