I did it a few years ago with a crossover cable and it was quite easy, but now I have a cable modem hooked up to my pc and I think it's screwing things up.  I've already read a few FAQ's and it hasn't helped me at all.  What's my easiest method to do this?  I can either use a crossover cable or hook up my xbox to the modem itself with an ethernet cable since the modem is hooked up to my pc via a usb cable.  I just don't know what to do.  I'm thinking of just finding someone with a computer that has no broadband connections and just taking the xbox over there and using a crossover cable and burn a cd of all the stuff I want to put on the xbox.  Thanks for your suggestions in advance...
