After about four hours of wondering what the hell was wrong with my systems, I finally figured out that it was my Internet Security. The damned firewall was blocking access to my computer. Lesson learned:

By any chance, are you talking about Trend Micro's Internet Security? If so, I had the same problem at first. But, even though I have allowed the Xbox IP access to the computer for SMB, my videos still skip/stutter most of the time. I had to set up another machine that didn't use Trend Micro's Internet Security.

I've had no problems with McAfee or Norton when it comes to streaming videos though.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

i'd strongly suggest a new firewall (Norton Internet Security is nice, Kerio Personal Firewall and Agnitum Outpost Firewall are both solid and easy to use).
