Hi, I have a benq drive in my 360 and an on board sata drive which is a Silicon Image Sil 3112 Sata Raid Controller.

Now I have ordered the sata controller that is ment to work with every drive but it hasn't arrived yet, So as I have the day of work tommorow I wanted to see weather I could mod my 360 using my on board sata controller instead.

SO please any info would be great, I'm sure I read somewhere that benq can be used with onboard sata controllers.

From DosFlash v1.3 Beta:

"As of right now, only nforce and VIA chipsets are supported in 100% software read/write of the BenQ drive with DosFlash(info). Success varies dependent upon which motherboard you have (intel (ICH) seems to be problematic combined with VIA)"

I hate to burst your bubble but I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the VIA card. sad.gif

So Far I have flashed 4x ms25's and aHitachi 46 and 47. as well as a WD Bevs laptop drive, all off the onboard sata of my Gigabyte GA-8I945GZME-RH.  I have it installed in a Micro ATX case which makes travel w/ it easy when people dont want to give up a system for repair.  I Have a Syba Via card just incase I get some ms28's

This is only for extending an existing SATA port to the front of your PC, but you would need an internal SATA port to connect it to.
