Do the math for the 3 games that looked to be installed. I dont know what to think. I hope its real.....but why Avalaunch?? Why not XBMC, that would be the better one to choose.

A comment to what 3rdnfnlbst was asking.....

I would have to say just as my opinion that this video is fake, based on that the fact that if this person was connected to live, and was still getting friends sign on and off, why, in the lower left corner, would it say No Link!, in order for him to link up with a PC he would have to enable DHCP. Seems kind of fishy to me...

The Avalaunch dash is running as an emulated game, the 360 dash is still running in the back ground. I'm sure if you set up the Ava configuration (before burning it do disk) it'll give you a "link".

Ok i guess i could see what your talking about, but if this was burnt to a disc as an emulated game, would he be able to access those 3 games that are there?  Maybe it is just a switch once it boots to the xbox screen on the 360, he switched inputs and it came up with the avalaunch dash.  like not an input on the tv, maybe that tv only has 1 input and this person is using a switch box and switching it from there, wo you wouldn't see the input 2 come up on the screen.

I see some proof  that may make this more beleivable for more people who dont beleive, if you look when he goes into the file manager, the partitions equal out to be around 20GB... hmm... sounds like the size of the only official availble xbox 360 hard drive to me?  biggrin.gif

A side note: The F partition has around 1700megs and E has around 3000 megs, i remember when I first got my 360 I checked the harddrive status in the dashboard and I had 17 gigs left and I thought it was weird since the hard drive is 20gigs. Well this seems to be the reason, it seems as if all the downloadable stuff goes to F, which is the space availble to us. And E must be the dashboard files and system files...

This definitly does not sound like a coincidence to me...

This is bs, I'll tell you why. 1gb=1,024mb, most hdd's are labeled gauging 1gb=1,000mb. So on a 20gb hdd you have 20,000mb rather than 20,480. Add up the space available on C (139mb), E (3,903mb), and F (16,607mb) in this video and you get 20,649 mb. That's more than the drive would have available if it were completely void of content. Not to mention X, Y, and Z, which are all 749mb. There's also Config Magic, dvd2xbox, XBMC, and the Ava files n' folders that take up space. Then you have Black, GTA III, and Madden '06. These games will not fit on a dvd together, so they must be on the hdd (at least another 6gb's, but not 100%sure on that).

If the video's creator is alleging this system is running the original hdd (which I assume he's eluding to by showing the hdd space as ~20gb) then this is total bs.

There's a reason only the screen is visible, come on guys. rolleyes.gif

Have a feeling its is fake for a few reasons.

1) the bry117 mesage pops up and then he goes to the guide, but when an allert pops up and you click the guide button it goes that persons gamer card.

2) Im not sure if you even get those allerts when your are playing an xbox1 game (not 100% on this one.)

3) ther eis no turn off controller option, could just be wired.

4) the hard drive is larger than 20gig.

But i hope these are all wrong because homebrew on 360 would be sweet. i guess only time will tell.

also what he could of done was recorded video of him using avalaunch and shit and merged it with a white screen that looks like the 360 is loading a xbox1 game. that way it would look like he is using avalaunch but is actualy watching a movie. this way he could still be online and use the guide and everything (ive actualy thought about doing this jsut to see reactions but im not that kind of jerk lol) anyways i hope to god its real. but we wont know for sure untill some better proof is revealed

config magic, dvd2xbox,xbmc  and avalaunch are all under 150mb together

gta 3 (pal) is 767mb
black is 1,544 mb
madden 06 is ~2,500mb

so all that adds up to 4,961mb which could easily fit on a d/l dvd

1- when You hold the guide button to shut it down. the guide is not going to pop up. another thing is that the guide does not work work when the 360 is using its emulator (xbox sign noted this is being emulated)

2- thats a good point i dunno if the dashboard alerts you of people signing on when the emulator is on

4- isnt that the whole reason to mod a 360? for bigger HDDs?

I think this is BS. You get any decent video editing program (like an Adobe After Effects) and you can easily edit that to look like Avalaunch is running on a 360. These days its so simple.

Hey maybe I should give it a go and see if I can make it look like the 360 is running EvoX. Too bad I dont have a damn 360 though.... grr.gif

Yeah, but the in the video they go to the file manger. Not to show what files are in which partition, but only to show the available space. It screams "hey, this hdd is ~20gb, must be a stock 360 hdd" *nudge, nudge*.

I also doubt that the exact same Xbox partitions were used for the 360 (forgot to mention that before).

It's bogus.

Yeah, if the xbox 360 didn't emulate the same partitions then they couldn't get the xbox 1 games to run. The f partition is oviously the rest of the hard drive, just like if you have a bigger hard drive in the xbox 1. Makes sense to me.

Yes its not possible to get the code (yet), but why go to all the effort of making and publishing a video or two and posibly some pictures when its only going to get slated?

And to all the people bitching, stfu and wait for the release of the code!
