« Reply #15 on: June 30, 2006, 08:27:00 PM »

what interests me is the fact that when he goes to file manager, there is a C, D, E, F, X, Y, and Z partitions.  Is it likely that the xbox 360 has the same file structure as xbox 1?

but.....

when you add up the file size, its about 20 GB(stock 360 HD size).  so i dont know.  like it was said before, it could easily be faked but then again it could be real.  i just hope its true.

Looks real to me, there is nothing wrong with the dashboard, or anything. Everything looked like the 360...
Only reason why you guys think its fake is because you cant believe that the 360 would be finnaly hacked..

I bet you this is very real... There is no evidence on the screen that shows it was a fake
His friend signed on, so the messages r late. Same thing happens to me.
It says no link because when you go into an xbox game it disconnects you but keeps your profile.

Looks like they might have found a security loop hole in a original xbox game. Since it boots the Xbox emulator up. Thats just my theory.

I find it difficult to believe that any established hacker would include their own Live ID in a video release.

That's just asking for trouble.

i think those pictures are real they look just perfect, no photoshop flaws or anything and the guide could easily be faked but it sort-of adds more realism to it... i dont know i want to beleive they are real

I would have to say just as my opinion that this video is fake,  based on that the fact that if this person was connected to live, and was still getting friends sign on and off, why, in the lower left corner, would it say No Link!, in order for him to link up with a PC he would have to enable DHCP.  Seems kind of fishy to me...

Do the math for the 3 games that looked to be installed. I dont know what to think. I hope its real.....but why Avalaunch?? Why not XBMC, that would be the better one to choose.

A comment to what 3rdnfnlbst was asking.....

The Avalaunch dash is running as an emulated game, the 360 dash is still running in the back ground. I'm sure if you set up the Ava configuration (before burning it do disk) it'll give you a "link".

Maybe you can only use avalaunch to get this to work, and the games could just be broken shortcuts, like when you uninstall some apps In windows and sometimes it does not remove the shortcut on your desktop, but the app is no longer on your computer.

this looks perfectly real to me... i remember in the last post loads of disbelievers were saying "we want a video", but now you have one you still continue to complain its fake? that video looks perfectly believable to me, the message saying his friend signed in is perfectly normal for me, it happens everytime i sign on... what else looks fake in there?

This is another speculation thread with no technical content at all.
When something of this magnitude is released and real, one thing is certain XS will release the news immediately.

I would gather that to emulate propally you would try and make the enviroment as native as possible (eg all the file structure correct and everything), but i thought that that 8gb or so was for the emulator which cuts into our small HDD space. you would not have 20gb just 8gb.

im calling fake to the video, but ive checked the pics through and thorugh and i cant fault them, so who knows
