360 Moods To Back Up Data

In simple tearms can anyone let me know as to what modds are avilable for the 360, or do you even need a mood can the 360 standerded drive read dvdr or dvdrw and if so can you bck up there game collection?
If both the anserews are no then does anyone know when anything of this sort will be abilable?
with the things that can be done to the xbox there must be some genuis out there who has knowladge on how to
1 make back up games for the 360
2 how to run back ups on the 360

I am just intersted to know becouse I live in a rough naberhood and all the time people are getting robbed and stuff so being able to back up my games would be real advantage.
