360 Cooling?
« on: June 28, 2006, 01:34:00 PM »

Is there anything I can do to make sure that my 360 is properly cooled? Or is it fine out of the box? I replaced the fans and heatsinks in my original xbox..

most all of them are fine. i never had a prob with mine yet. you can alway change the heatsink if you want. there is always Watercooling Kit by Koolance which is on the front page. i just keep mine in a place which air will flow over it.

I can definetely suggest the Nyko Intercooler if you do not feel like opening the 360
It will not cool your xbox 360 drastically but it does help. As i have said b4 i live in So Cali and it gets pretty damn hot where i have my 360 placed at right now during the summer (No air conditioner (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif) )
and although my 360 still gets warm it does definetely help a bit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
alternatively i guess you can do the watercooling mod.... but it does require to shell out quite a bit of cash though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

also i almost forgot to mention, you can add artic silver compound so the heat transfering between the heatsink and the cpu is better. There should be a tutorial around here where to do it..... if i find it i will post it up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
