Recharging Batteries Help

Leave it plugged into the console until the LED on the play n charge cuts off and the fan shuts down inside your 360.

It will auto-shutoff.

Yes, some people do just leave it plugged into their PC.  No problems.

You mentioned the batteries getting really hot, are you using the 360 rechargable battery pack? You aren't trying to recharge the Energizer batteries that come with the wireless controller are you? Probably a dumb question on my part. But anyway, I've charged it both with the 360 and the PC, always worked fine. Best way for the 360 is to turn the 360 on, plug in the controller, turn off the 360, and then just let it charge.

I just use a Maha charger and rechargeable AA's, that way my controllers are always wireless.  Probably cheaper in the long run too.

If it's a rapid charge it is normal for batteries to get quite hot, sometimes over 100 deg. F.
