Subtitles Problems =>encoding

i have a xvid movie which play just fine.
My problem is on the greek subtitles.
on my pc (WINXP) i can see the greek subtitles but on XBMC the greek subtitles can be recornized and i see triangles, circles etc.
Can i overide this?
how?
